He passed some time ago, this collection includes MANY product samples, packaging prototypes, etc. I will likely miss some and classify them as just basic stock. Some may have generic price tags as he was going to sell them shortly before his death. So this at worst is a standard product, could be something more. If questions ask, I got around 1,000 items in this collection.

Comes as shown Condition: Now this is a real conundrum. This item has a specific story behind it. Tonka was moving headquarters, some moved peacefully in preparation for the event once told. Others literally stole stuff out of the Tonka Archives while others tossed very valuable items.

That is all pretty well known, ask anyone at Tonka in the 1980's. How it relates to this set, I was told specifically that this set was rescued from the trash during that event. I have been unable to find any information about this set. I know Tonka produced some Smithsonian licensed sets, but these are far too large at 6 for the figures.

It is also possible someone was working on these privately and tossed them during this time frame. Also that they were much more primitive that the Smithsonian sets. The horse clearly had a break by an ankle and was repaired. Material is heavy but I dont think heavy enough for lead.
