Very nice 6th plate tintype of union soldier identified as Jesse Fort of the 34th New York Volunteers. Identified in pencil inside case also found behind the image is a red fabric star.. I thought corps badge but this is not the 34ths symbol. Possibly a piece cut from a flag.
Tintype is in good antique condition with some slight wear. Comes housed in a full split leatherette case.
