This is a vintage Civil War soldiers framed certificate of his account & unit served during the war. It is an account of the service of Private James Chambers from the Indiana Volunteer infantry, Company "C" 43rd regiment. He enlisted is 1864 and was discharged in 1865 at the end of the war. Looks to be very old and was probably made post war. It is framed, the frame has some damage along the edges, but it still displays great.
