Vintage Civil War Military Army Calvary Soldier U. S. Branded Horse Bit

This vintage military horse bit belonged to a soldier in the U. Army Cavalry during the Civil War (1861-65). It is an original piece and would make a great addition to any militaria and or equestrian collection.

The branding on the bit indicates that it was issued by the U. Government to the soldier's horse. This item is a unique piece of history and a great conversation starter.

It is in a used condition with obvious signs of prior use and age. It measures approximately 8.5" x 6". I would not recommend using this on a horse but purely for display and decorative purposes. Please feel free to message me with any questions or requests for more photos of the item.
