Woman Holding Sword & Feather Cap! Vivandiere or Mourning for Civil War Soldier

Original 1/9th plate tintype in half of a case.... Young woman wearing an interesting hat and holding a sword! Or maybe she is holding the sword of a deceased soldier husband or brother? If so, there are examples that exist but they are very rare. The cap has a band and feather, and she is also wearing hand-painted gold jewelry.
